About the Viking Experience
The Viking Experience is a roving historically inspired Viking entertainment theater group. Guests can interact with our characters in camp during the day to learn details about our ongoing story. In the evening we offer an immersive ad-lib Viking dinner theater experience.
We at The Viking Experience are very mindful of COVID-19 and the restrictions and limitations that come with hosting an event like this during a time of pandemic. Prior to coming to our event, we want you to be aware that we have kept up to date on state and county COVID restrictions. Please know that the following restrictions and actions will be taken at our event to ensure our guests safety:
The Viking Experience abides by the State of Maryland COVID 19 guidelines for outdoor events and festivals.
Temperatures will be checked before entry into the festival. For the safety of all guests, anyone with a temperature of 99.9 or greater will not be granted access to the festival.
Sanitizing stations will be available throughout the grounds.
During our event we ask that you wear a mask as appropriate. Anyone sitting in the grandstands will be required to wear a mask.
However, our event includes a theater aspect and there will be times when our actors are not wearing masks so that they can be heard properly. During those times we encourage social distancing for your safety.
Whenever possible we ask that you maintain a distance of 6 feet from anyone not in your household. This includes eating and drinking, sitting at shows, and standing in lines. Designated smoking areas will be clearly labeled and given adequate distancing to comply with safety regulations.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding with us as we continue to aim to bring you a fun filled and safe experience.
At The Viking Experience we do not require costumes, but we do admit costumes add to the overall atmosphere. We encourage creativity and permit costumes from all eras and fantasy realms.
The Faire is an outdoor event. We suggest you dress for the day’s weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone dressed in a manner deemed as offensive by Faire management. No clothing with written obscenities, violent or sexual images, excessively revealing or transparent fabrics, or offensive symbols.
The Vikings Experience Weapons Policy

You may bring a bow and arrows, however, the bow must be unstrung or strung with yarn or some other cord that cannot hold tension. Arrows must be untipped and peace-tied into their quiver. Our Security personnel will check all weapons at the gate and offer assistance if needed. Fight demonstrations and participations will be held at The Viking Experience and only LARP weapons from Shadow Raven LARP Community or approved by Shadow Raven LARP will be allowed to be used during those times.
